Just 10 miles square, the city has two Metro North train stations, is just 15 minutes from the County Airport, and 24 miles from Manhattan. The high school which has nearly a 100% graduation rate, offers academic courses at accelerated rates as well as many vocational and special needs programs. There are also many fine private schools located in the vicinity including the German School, Windward School, Solomon Schechter, The Hackley School, Maria Regina, Stepinac, Rye Country Day School, to name a few.
Recreational Facilities

The recreation and parks department offer one hundred sports and athletic programs, instructional classes, camps, cultural activities, ice skating at Ebersole Ice Rink, and swimming at Saxon Woods pool.
